    Jim worked as an attorney for nearly two decades for Earthjustice, where he litigated and directed numerous cases to protect the landscapes and endangered species of the American West, and to preserve the region’s clean air and water.

    Prior to joining Oceans 5, Chuck served in senior positions with federal and state governments, as well as nonprofit and philanthropic organizations. He served as the Assistant Administrator for Water at the US Environmental Protection Agency and as the Secretary of the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.

    Lillian Cheng

    Program Officer, Conservation, Helmsley Charitable Trust

    Lillian leads the Trusts’ conservation work focused on global marine issues, and place-based programs in Myanmar, Madagascar, the Baja California Sur region of Mexico, and the Galapagos Islands. Before joining Helmsley, Lillian was a senior project manager at AEI Consultants, Inc.

    Charlotte Gauthier

    Associate Program Officer, Conservation, Helmsley Charitable Trust

    Charlotte assists with the management of the Trust’s conservation work focused on global marine issues, and place-based programs in Myanmar, Madagascar, the Baja California Sur region of Mexico, and the Galápagos Islands. Before joining Helmsley, Charlotte was a governance and public sector consultant for the World Bank.

    Rebecca leads Vulcan’s marine wildlife work, currently focused on sharks and rays. Prior to her current position, Rebecca was program lead for the Greater Mekong Program of the World Wildlife Fund.

    Keith leads LDF’s ocean efforts, focusing on marine species conservation, combatting IUU fishing, building sustainable fisheries in developing countries, and protecting valuable ocean ecosystems.

    Lee Crockett

    Director, GPSR

    Lee works with the Board of Advisors designing and implementing programmatic and grantmaking strategies, ensuring strong operations and governance, and forming strategic partnerships with NGOs and other funders. Prior to joining the GPSR, Lee spent 20 years working on fisheries management at the state, interstate, federal and international levels with both the U.S. government and the non-profit sector. Most recently, he was the Director of U.S. Oceans at The Pew Charitable Trusts. Lee has a MS in Biological Oceanography from the University of Connecticut.

    Kate Mulligan

    Senior Relationship Manager

    Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors (RPA). Kate manages several of RPA’s sponsored projects, many of which have an environmentally focused organizational mission. Kate brought to RPA a strong background in business finance and client outreach as well as a personal commitment to community service. Kate is a graduate of Fordham University where she received her undergraduate degree in anthropology, one of her many passions. While at Fordham, Kate was an active member of the Global Outreach Program, a cultural immersion and service program.
